How Does the DPD Ship@Ease API System Work?
Optima provides a packing bench model where package dimensions and weights are recorded. Shipping methods can be pre-determined via integration with e-commerce platforms or other ordering systems. Alternatively, shipping options can be calculated using Optima CMS or selected manually.
Once orders are picked and packed using Optima WMS, a request is sent to DPD to book a consignment. This triggers an automatic label print, ensuring no time is wasted. DPD then provides a tracking number, which is instantly passed back to your e-commerce platform, marketplace, or can be emailed directly to the recipient. All tracking numbers are recorded within Optima for full traceability and reporting purposes.
